Bruni is a 2nd generation softball athlete, with her mother playing at her nursing school Alma Mater, Thomas Jefferson University. Bruni got bonus athlete genes from her father, who played football at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from University of South Florida with a bachelors in Health Science and Biological Health and Health Management.

On field, Bruni earned the #7 All-Time batting average at USF (.351), #2 All-Time stolen bases at USF (99), and was a Top 10 Finalist for the 2021 NCAA Senior Class Award.

She is committed to keeping a 4.0 average in Nursing School at Thomas Jefferson University and will graduate with her BSN in May. She is honored to have already been awarded the Daisy Award for saving the life of an infant.
